When I put the beer in the refrigerator, the beer's higher initial energy state than the cool air around it is what causes the beer to cool down. Some of the beer's energy is leaving the beer.
I've tried to explain this to my sister. She's not getting it. Maybe it's because I'm drinking and not explaining this very well.
