X-Ray Vision Sleep Mask

If you happened to be burdened by the curse of being a bit of a film dork during your formative years, chances are you turn to Jello at the mention of Italian women. Why? Because of 1960s Italian cinema, and Michelangelo Antonioni in particular. You grew up harboring a crush on Claudia Cardinale or something - women who are from a different planet. The kind of women who, if finding them actually and then getting them to like you were a possibility, would be throwing your crap around the house and smashing plates when a friend comes over and finds you in a heap on the floor, drinking a coffee cup full of scotch, with a bad gash across your forehead and your friend is like, "You have got to get out of this situation, guy - she is crazy." And you just look over at her and say, "But she makes me so happy."

Also, if I had found The Auteurs a year ago, I would have been fired from my job for watching movies all day (and if I wasn't, I still wouldn't be going to business school, since I'm sure that's what I'd be doing instead of doing applications). However, if you have insomnia, it can make the hours fly by, spending time with some amazing directors - most of the films you would have to rent from Netflix, or at least have no possibility of finding on iTunes or Amazon's video on demand (examples: The Birth of Love, The Sentinel, Il Grido).

Metroid's Samus Aran talks about gay marriage

I am slightly ashamed that some 10 years later I still know all the words to this song. It has that nice weird mix of sarcasm and earnestness that is characteristic of the mid-1990s. Is plastic surgery ethical?

"Emerging cosmetic plastic surgeries allow us to bypass our genetic code and cheat our naturally predetermined
appearances by altering the perceived external flaws and ignoring the intact internal code where the flaws remain. Without these self-identified unwanted physical attributes, people who otherwise might not have been perceived as desirable mates for procreation allow themselves to be perceived as desirable enough to pass on their genes."
