The Stats:
I ran across 231 access points - 110 with encryption and 121 without (though there's about 20 or so of these that I know are actually pay networks). Most common SSIDs are linksys (13), tmobile (11 - which would be the approximate number of Starbucks I passed by), NETGEAR (9) and Cometa-Hotspot (5 - usually at Tully's or Barnes & Noble or something like that).
Here's a map of the unencrypted access points I ran across in Belltown (Top Pot plays too much Bjork). It lumped a lot of them together in a couple of places. There's a bunch that come out of the 5th & Wall building. Also, I didn't go west of 3rd or north of Vine.
