Think about the radio stations that convert to "all Christmas songs, all the time" between Thanksgiving and New Year's. I suppose this satisfies some demand at the margin, but if these songs were 'good', wouldn't they transcend the boundaries of seasonality?

What I'm suggesting is positively scandalous. These songs are only getting played because of their 'topic'! This is affirmative action for music! If they were good songs, they would be getting airplay 12 months of the year! There are some well-qualified Christmas-ish songs, but those are the exception.

In conclusion, if you can't write good songs, just make a double album with songs about the time of the year. Here are your topics, which will guarantee some level of airplay:
-Christmas
-New Year's Eve/Day
-Martin Luther King Day
-Groundhog's Day
-Valentine's Day
-President's Day
-St. Patrick's Day (also Ides of March for the unusually prolific)
-Pesach/Passover
-Easter
-Arbor Day
-Earth Day
-Cinco de Mayo
-Mother's Day
-Memorial Day
-Flag Day
-Bloomsday
-Father's Day
-Canada Day
-Independence Day
-Labor Day
-Constitution Day
-Yom Kippur
-Columbus Day
-Thanksgiving, Canada
-Halloween
-Veteran's Day
-Thanksgiving, US (1 song, 2 countries!)
