I was watching Veronica Mars and there's an episode where she eats cereal. This seemed really weird to me and I think it's because you just rarely see women on TV eating (in scripted shows, outside of Food Network).

An unexpected thrill: removing sticker/thorn bushes. I did some sawing and lopping yesterday, but overnight it rained and softened up the ground a little, so I figured I could go after the roots fairly easily today. I took a pair of vise-grip pliers and, on one of them, removed an enormous root - about 1/2 inch in diameter. It looked like a really long carrot. Felt incredible. Like slaying a dragon. Gardening should not be that exhilarating.
