It's delicious! Making your own fresh pasta is worthwhile. I think it's one of the better Making Your Own Food Things At Home, as long as you have the right ingredients and equipment - semolina flour and a pasta roller. It isn't difficult to get it to turn out well. It changes a lot in each stage of the process - eggs and flour to dough to crumbly sheets to elastic sheets. The flavor and texture of the end-result is a lot better than the slippery stuff we had on spaghetti night - I think they have enough flavor to be eaten plain, but dressing with pepper, a raw egg yolk and some microplane'd cheese is good, too.

Yesterday I went into work at around noon, made eye contact with my boss and ducked out by 4. This may have not been the ideal day for my monkeyshines, since an email addressing the likely headcount reductions happened to go out today. If you want to suck the air out of a room, tell a group of people that some of them will not have a job soon.
